That's legend here in TN, but there are different stories about how they got busted. One story is that the electric company had to investigate unusual spikes in the power demand (needed for the grow lights). A variation of that is that they had already asked for a bigger transformer than usual when the place was built and needed even more power. They figured it'd be suspicious to ask for an even bigger transformer, so they somehow tapped into the grid directly (and were thus stealing lots of electricity). Others say it was just a snitch that ratted them out.
