Usually a nice pay differential ... no suits to bother you. Even if there's days with nothing to do they have you come in and you can find someplace to just nap. The trouble is getting home fast enough to catch some Zs before it gets too light and noisy out.

Good points. I use those curtains that block out the sun and a fan to drown out the noise. Sleeping during the day is not a problem for me.

I did graveyard shift long ago for about a year. At first I thought it was cool, because I tended to be a night person anyway. That lasted about a week... Sucks trying to go to bed when the sun's coming up, the damn birds start chirping and shit, and the whole rest of the world is on a completely opposite schedule...........

I worked graveyard when I was in my 20's and loved it. I worked it in my current job a few years ago and it kicked my ass......just could not get adjusted to the sleep schedule.
