I got my Mac around 18 months ago, I look at the different porn tube sites, no virus scanner, no problem.![]()
If you habitually click on pop-up ads, your Mac will catch less bugs than your PC.
If you don't, both machines should be safe.![]()
Do it....Windows sucks dog dick. Don't hold me to this, but another factor is that if you get a new mac, and after 2, 3, 4 months you aren't happy, you can still get most of your money back selling it on Craigslist. Probably up to 6 months, it's gonna be very current.
I'm this close to doing it. I may be a fool to pay the money for it, but I don't feel like comprimising. When I was talking with my dad, he was saying that he uses his 5 year old Macbook still to edit video and there's barely a hiccup.Originally Posted by Hein[SIZE=2

PS: You looking at macbooks or a tower? I'd like a badass tower, but Jesus it's like buying a small house. MacBooks are a much better value, and pretty darn versatile. I should use mine more, but I have my desk and everything set up and I'm lazy and resistant to change....
Of course not. Macs never get viruses, malware or anything icky. The ghost of Steve Jobs told them so and if Steve said so, it must be true.
Now, let's go frolic through a field of flowers and photodocument every moment of it for our social media profiles.

My MacBook is about four years old. Glitch free and I have no thoughts of replacement anytime soon. The hardware costs a bit extra up front but the lack of issues over time makes it well worth it (IMO).
