Carson had a great delivery. Rich Little had him absolutely nailed. My favorite Carson moments came when his jokes bombed and he'd start saying, "Doc, are we open yet? I don't think anyone's here." And he loved ribbing Tommy Newsome.

There is only 1 guy Howard stole from that he never bad mouthed and that was a guy named Charles Laquidara, the top AM drive guy in Boston when Howard was in school. He's mentioned him a few times on air, usually as passing shots at Billy as Billy used to work for Charles. Charles talked for the last 30 mins of his shift, which was unheard of back then. He did it under the guise of a game show named Mishegas but he spoke for the first 20 mins on whatever he wanted then had the game with a call in fan the last 10. Howard was so impressed with Charles that Boston was the only market that he allowed to tape delay his show and play it at night so it wouldn't bump Charles' show or go up against it. That changed as the stations in Boston changed. Charles was moved to a sister infinity station and Howard went live in the AM on the flag ship station WBCN.
