Bubba's even more irrelevant than Howard (if that's even possible), he needs all the help he can get.

My guess is that Bubba would want some sort of deal where he could simulcast/tape-delay his morning show, or perhaps even combine the IO show with a "Sirius show" to get the name out there nationally and pick up more affiliates for his morning show. If he can get back to that level and claim that he's got a national footprint I reckon it'd be that much easier for the Topeka. Kanses of the world to sign up with the BRN a la St Louis recently and whatnot.
why do you guys say bubba is doing well on his own? i haven't been following recently. has he added affiliates? last i checked, it was just tampa and ft myers...

I know bubba plays stupid but (some of) the people he has around him (most behind the scenes) are pretty smart.
With that said, could bubba be trying to pull an end around on Howard. By that I mean get his foot in the door knowing full well Howard is on borrowed time and when it becomes convenient for sirius to pull the rug out on Sirius bubba take over the whole channel. ( I am guessing 101 will disappear just like Howard's talent when his comedians left. ).
thanks butler. how has the show been recently? i had to stop listening in January 2011 when the whole "Drop The Trey" thing went down. Has it improved?
I was a big fan of Spice. Has his absence hurt the show?
OK, I can understand the business reasoning behind that but what does he need Howard for? If he's going to donate his time anyhow why doesn't he just cut out the middle man and offer his services to Sirius directly or one off the other channels?
What benefit is there on being on Howards channels these days besides perhaps getting an opportunity to appear at the Block Party?
Hit or miss. He's been sucking Sam Simon and PETA's dick this week and going vegan for a week. He blows off the uncensored show too often. His sister Tara has been a shitty replacement for Spice. But while the Stern show seems completely devoid of laughs, I still get a good chuckle out of Bubba from time to time.
