I thought Howard was an avowed atheist. He's always mocking people for believing in their "imaginary friend in the sky". If he has any kind of Passover observance, or Easter too, for that matter, than he is an even bigger hypocrite than all of us thought.

Someone here once put together a Hannukah spoof featuring Beffie and Emily Stern. It was a riot - I can't remember all of it but I do remember something about Beff trying to get into Emily's house and calling "Happy Hannicane!" or something like that.

He's not an atheist. He's an agnostic. He does believe in "a higher power" of some kind because he's even mentioned praying at a synagogue as recently as a few years ago when some crisis occurred in his life recently.

And, to his credit, he even acknowledged this sort of cognitive dissonance (saying one thing and then doing or saying the exact opposite) by affirming that he's not even really clear how he feels about "the whole God thing."

I think he believes in God when he needs something. Otherwise, he thinks it's stupid and he thinks everyone else who regularly believes is stupid.

Basically, he's a douche about the whole God thing.
