RT flight wasnt cheap at 3675. Add in the taxi to and from the outskirts of the village, plus the rental mule, I'm looking at close to 3960. I declined to opt for the "guide"...wouldve run me another 200 but enough's enough.

The hotel isnt really a hotel as you and I know it. It's more of a dark hole in a mountain. Dirt cheap though. $24 a night.

Guy on the walkie talkie tried to talk me into the "Protection Package." i guess they have a welcoming party there to greet you at the hotel and then they stay with you until the end of the trip. Told him "no" because I like to travel alone and don't really enjoy being on a schedule while on vacation.
