Bloombergs the dumbass for thinking he could get that soft drink ban rammed through. Any first year law student could've told him it was not going to work. OK, Palin is a bit of an airhead, but many politicians are. Hell, there are a few here in Detroit that don't even have college degrees. I just think it's ridiculous that just because a person is elected into some position, that Howard thinks they have to be smart. Palin is flighty, and Bloombergs just not realistic.

Palin is safe to criticize on the PC HSS - white, Christian, conservative - all the buzzwords sure to get Howard a smile among the elitist snobs at the Hampton's summer socials. Then they'll go order their help around, lower their AC to 60, heat up their pools and dust off their private jets while feeling self satisfied at how progressive they are.

She's liberal approved to be mocked...being a white Christian conservative it's OK to trash her.

she doesnt have a grasp of any issue, hasnt presented a specific solution to any problem. and furthermore, she enacted radical liberal policies when she was gov, so if you truly hate liberalism you should hater her. (ranting nonsense against the top D, doesnt make one a conservative)

ron paul is a white, christian, conservative. and howard never mocked him. in fact he said he respected him.

#1 I'm not a Republican and I didn't vote for McCain simply because he had Palin on the ticket. My comment wasn't in support of Palin but rather pointed at what Howard has become.

Palin is from the social Republican camp that's all worked up about abortion, religion and social issues. Those people are party fodder for the hypocritical Hampton's set and are safe to criticize on Howard's show.

Paul is from the libertarian camp, a group that Howard used to sympathize with but whom he has recently appeared to abandon with his nanny state rhetoric. I don't remember the last time Howard mentioned him in a positive light but I don't think it has been recently. Christian also doesn't describe Paul in a political sense because he believes, and rightfully so, in the separation of church and state while Palin's camp wants to codify their dogma into the political system.

Palin is not someone I'd ever vote for, she says dumb things, she's phoney like all politicians. However, I don't get the hatred and vitriol. She says the same things other politicians say who don't get any attention.

My conclusion is there is some emotional component involved, such as men wanting to screw her and hating themselves for it, or perhaps seeing her as unobtainable.

With women it could be being insanely jealous of her looks and the attention she gets.
