Are you suggesting something like stress? If so, I entirely believe you.
Yep. Took it, it's gone right now. But apparently I'm "prone" to it, and it keeps coming back. The acid reflux is both a symptom and contributor.
You only get stressed TWICE A YEAR??? Goddamn woman! I need whatever meds you take!!!
Ever had an acid reflux attack where it feels like you're having a heart attack? those arent fun.

none, but i drink a little Pepto once in a while.
Another vote for Prilosec. I still get it once in a while but not anything like I used to.
Pro Tip: If you are taking PPI (prilosec, omeprazole and others) studies show long term problems re bone fractures. Now taking calcium chews to add calcium to my diet:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is revising the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) labels for a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors to include new safety information about a possible increased risk of fractures of the hip, wrist, and spine with the use of these medications.Proton pump inhibitors work by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. Nexium, Dexilant, Prilosec, Zegerid, Prevacid, Protonix, Aciphex, and Vimovo are available by prescription to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach and small intestine ulcers, and inflammation of the esophagus. Prilosec OTC, Zegerid OTC, and Prevacid 24HR are sold over-the-counter (OTC) for the treatment of frequent heartburn.
