I loved the Channel 9 show. It was edgy and funny and was a direct extension of the HSS. I thought it was one of the best times for the show with the radio show being an open writing meeting for the TV show - throwing out ideas, seeing them being developed live and then watching the finished product on Channel 9. I really felt like I was part of an inner circle; it was a great way to develop loyal fans.
As Howard promised, I expected the Revolution to follow that template - ideas developed on the HSS would be given a chance to prosper on the channels - with the added bonus of no censorship. To bad for all involved, especially Howard, they did nothing of the sort.
I only remember the E show....wish I had seen the Channel 9 shows.
Team Anfkid!

Isn't it fun that everything Howard starts to appear on Jewtube? A bit over a year ago he/his stuff managed to get everything take down from Youtube. Now when Youtube pays a couple of cents per click, Howard thinks its ok.
I wonder if Howard claims ownership of stuff that he don't own just to get some more money.

Yes. Channel 9 was in Secaucus NJ near the Meadowlands/Giants Stadium, .
Howard is a Vomit.

Yeah, I remember hearing something about that too but I really meant all of his stuff - from "Butt Bongo Fiesta" to the Stern Show Shuffle. He should make it easier to get Howard stuff from his site than it is from YouTube or a torrent. There are dozens of ways he could monetize all that stuff - besides just having a website people actually go visit.

I didn't get to see the Channel 9 shows up here in the Pac N.W. all we had was the E! show as well....My cousin filled a box full of his Channel 9 tapes (he lived in New York) and sent them to me and I thought it was the greatest show ever, so did my stoner friends because you couldn't get it anywhere around here...I'm sure the classic bits hold up alright...

Those were the days! Great stuff indeed.
Yea but I'm 42 How the Fuck do you "remember" Channel 9? Aren't you like 30?

Here is a link for the Channel 9 shows.
Stern said the person in charge of the station group who could sell the rights to him refused and wanted the shows to just fade away. He mentioned that several times.
From MarksFriggin.com:
"A caller asked Howard if he is ever going to put out another version of ''Private Parts'' with extra features included. Howard wanted to do that when they put the movie out but Paramount didn't want to do it. They just put the movie out. Howard said they had about 30-45 minutes of stuff that they could have used as extras for the movie. He even claims that he offered to buy the rights to the movie from Paramount but they didn't let him do that. He claims they didn't want him to do it and embarrass them by making a lot of money with it. He said there are a lot of people who have a bug up their ass about him. The old WWOR (Channel 9) shows are locked up in a vault and they won't let him put them out on DVD or anything like that. He wanted to put out the pilot they shot for them because the executives at the station walked out of the building as they were shooting it.
Channel 9 has always been a horrible NYC local station. The Howard Stern Show gave it ratings back in 1990.They'll never have those ratings again.
It is actually 7 cents a click

The Channel 9 shows are one of the few times when Howard actually did some work and got dicked by management. He had a reason to bitch about it on the air and, since we were viewers, we were almost included in the rants. These days, his rants are boring because we don't care if he loses his latest lawsuit...we aren't a part of it anymore.
