Most managers make a majority of their income based on how well their staff produces...If they perform well, then the company is making money. If you don't perform well as a manager, then you don't get paid very much....

Depends on the job .... Certainly bolting on a front car fender on an assembly line, or injecting fake whipped cream into a Twinkie doesn't require very much training or skill.. Consequently, it shouldn't warrant a high salary

While managers get bonuses for cost cutting or profit margins, non-management gets paid salary. The pay structures are different for different responsibilities. But In a sense, I am paid for my performance. I don't get paid extra by working extra hard but if I can't perform my job or do it poorly to the point that I affect the company negatively, I will be fired. Union or not.

You constantly argue against all union workers based on a small example. I'm a lowly civil servant working in the ghetto dealing with violent criminals and dangerous mentally ill customers on a regular basis. Nobody ever thinks that they earn enough but I'm realistic and say that I make on the low side of "fair". From my experience most union workers are in similar situations. The only ones that I know of that are making a killing are some in the skilled trades but they earn it. To constantly argue with blanket statements that all union workers are making 4 times as much as everyone else is rediculous.

There are absolutely union corruption issues and areas where things are just a bit nuts........but it's like that in non-union jobs as well. There does need to be some reform and your "burn 'em all at the stake" mentallity isn't the way to go.

Yet ya never hear a word from them about the greatest wealth transfer in history...The banks, and big investment houses on Wall st ran up a gigantic freaking credit bubble. On a worldwide scale...then got bailed out. Crushing so many Joe 6 pack/mom and pop types....And they are still being lifted daily with fed monetary policy of printing trillions, switching money around(bond purchases between the fed and treasury) to artificially keep interest rates low, thus creating another bubble in the stock market, because it's the only place to park your money that has a chance of keeping up inflation. It's such an obviously rigged game to anyone who understands WTF is really going on. And the cost to the taxpayer, the harm it does to our society(look up moral hazard, then think capitalism and it's true form? huh WTF?)...a policy by the rich, for the rich...That punishes savers and rewards those who gamble on stocks. Isn't that the exact type of thinking that created the last 3 or 4 bubbles?
