Howard has gotta hate twitter; I seem to remember him disparaging it during Monday's show. If memory serves he was complaining how nowadays with the ubiquitous presence of twitter in the social/media landscape, everyone thinks they're some sort of an "entertainer" or a "comedian" or what have you. Whereas twitter is ostensibly "liberating" in that you can tweet something that can theoretically be seen by millions of people, radio was a vanguard of the old paradigm where you had to be "chosen" (as literally as you wanna take that to get on the radio platform and have your audience. to an old codger like howard, that's quite validating to him when he needs to believe that he's special simply because he CAN go on the radio and get his message out to "22 million" people or whatever. This paradigm elevated him over all of us by default, whereas in in its purest form, everyone talking on twitter is equal...... unless they're validated, which, btw, howard listed in his list of achievements when he was telling off some local anchorbitch who said that mel b was "the only entertainer" on AGT.

Think about that one: Howard is damn PROUD of his Twitter verification because just having that little checkmark next to his name means he's some sort of important or big deal and therefore more important than you, and thus he duly embraces it as the kind of validation of himself that he used to get by being one of the relatively-few who had a network of ~50k-watt radio stations pumping out his message of "I bet you have a big cock" and "how much are you worth?" to the masses.

Quick tangent: you know, in the wake of Howard 'evolving' into asking everyone how big their cock is and how rich they are, with the obvious latent/homosexual undertones to his perpetual fascination with people's penis sizes, do you remember that back in his heyday in the 90s he ALWAYS asked chicks if they do anal? GP does a great job of entertaining us, so I don't think it's that big a deal even if his tweets haven't been read by his targets...

The main reason why Howard hates twitter is that he doesn't get payed from them. "Why should I create free content for them?"

Just look at Youtube. Howard/people working for Howard took down everything. Complete HowardTV shows where rare. Last year Youtube started to pay per click to the owner of the video and voila: all videos stays up.

But imagine how good Radio Howard could do with Twitter/real phone callers if he had a sticker skin. The last years highlights of the show have been real callers calling in and calling out Howard.
