Canada has no embargo on Cuba. The issue with shipping is, they would have to travel via international post office so they may never be delivered. FedEx, UPS, DHL are all US companies and generally not permitted to accept payments from Cuban financial institutions. There are ways around this also, but its not worth it unless the dollar amount is high. I believe the bank of luxemborg is there as well as in Canada and the US; nothing says the funds for the shipping can't transfer through another non us bank.

also its no big deal getting cubans here, they're just unnecessarily expensive. us law allows all cuban ex-pats to return to cuba to visit family and traffic in personal goods without inspection at the borders. every ex-pat i know here brings back ziplock bags of cigars every trip.

i just think they taste like shit, so we go to little cuba for lunch instead.
