‘Togetherness’

EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Peet is set as a lead in Togetherness, HBO’s
single-camera comedy pilot written, directed and executive produced by
brothers Mark and Jay Duplass. It follows two couples living under the
same roof who struggle to keep their relationships alive while
pursuing their individual dreams. Peet plays Tina Morris, an energetic
and beautiful woman who is fun, outgoing, mischievous and smart in
both dress and brainpower. Tina relocates from Houston to Los Angeles
and moves in with her sister Michelle Pierson (Melanie Lynskey) and
her husband Brett Pierson. Also moving in with the Piersons is Brett’s
friend Alex (Steve Zissis), a struggling, over-the-hill actor who had
been left homeless. Peet’s casting comes on the heel of Manhattan
Theater Club’s announcement last week that it will stage Peet’s first
play, Manhattan Theater Club, next season. There is talks that Blythe
Danner and Sarah Jessica Parker, who participated in a reading of the
play, may join the production. On screen, Peet, repped by Gersh and
Management 360, has been recurring on CBS’ The Good Wife.

I'm sure Peet got the gig because of her husband's HBO pull, no question. But she's still at least somewhat talented and intelligent, and she's hot. She definitely won't embarrass herself like someone we could mention, either on the show or while she's out promoting it.

But this new show sounds like absolute ass. She won't embarrass herself but the writers might.
