Mad men is GREAT! Do NOT waste your time with "Girls" - i love Judd Apatow (he's only a partial contributer, not the creator) but this show is unwatchable.

cool, yeah wish they could have kept it going..Swearngen was one of the best TV characters of all time.

if you like the history stuff AMC has Hell On Wheels which is also good and on netflix I think.

it plays like a mature soap opera...they do the era very well and it has some hot broads and it's cool how they tie in the advertising aspects. Can be slow at some points though.

I liked Fringe, but a lot of the regular network shows kinda fall flat. The AMC, HBO, Showtime kinda shows are good because the writing tends to be better and they have more flexibility because it's cable.

Just being an ass. I gave the show until a few weeks ago before I gave up. Just too convoluted......the amount of followers in convenient positions was too much for me.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. Don't want to get into a series only to have it slow down in the middle or something like that. I really want something that keeps the story moving all the way through.
