For reasons far beyond my comprehension, I still am permanently affected by the guy I spent 6 weeks in Vietnam with.

He emailed me today, and I felt like a little girl who's nipples were first touched.

Hadn't seen him for years before, never seen him since........but I dream of him sometimes.

I wonder why somebody like that leaves such a huge fucking mark on your psyche?

ohhhhhhhhh, and to elaborate - I guess Vietnam is an easy place to run to, from Australia, to get away from your crazy life/breakup?

I have no idea why he chose to go there, himself. I chose to go there 'cause it was a free trip with a hot guy, at a really bad time in my life.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me. I was a wreck..........and sooooooo fucking hurt and broken.

Not to mention, I've been a mom since I was 16. To get 6 weeks to myself to get past shit, and have some time to recover.........was like moving heaven and hell. I'm not sure I could ever do it again....it took sooooooo much effort, and money and arranging, to get all of my shit taken care of.

But I did it. And it helped. And it's a memory and experience nobody can ever take away from me.

I miss him almost every day..........but not in my "real" world. Just in the world where I can be myself, and a nutjob, and carefree - for a month and a half.
