Exclamation Who else hopes AGT is a massive failure this summer?

I can't wait to see how bad the ratings are this summer by the way.

There's really no need to hope. It's very likely to be a failure- going by last years' shit-tier ratings.

"Oooh spice girls!" Who gives a shit, faggots.

I gave AGT a chance last year but when those mangy mutts won I declared never again.

I gave it a shot too - watched the first couple of episodes (off the DVR, never live - wouldn't sit through ads to watch it) - then I watched part of a few other episodes. Didn't even watch the finale - just caught the "winners" via YouTube clips the next day.

I doubt I'll watch anything more than the first episode this summer.

i still want to know how they trained those poor, wretched dogs to do those tricks...i wouldn't be surprised if there was cruelty or perversion involved. it isn't easy to train dogs...i have trouble getting my beautiful boy to fetch. i'd like to know what they did to those dogs.......

the ratings are going to be even worse than last year. howard should have listened to fuckwald and ignored those who told him it was a good idea. he looks like such a fool and now he has the stench of failure wafting around him.

I think that the ratings will go up this year after Stern stands up during the first live show and pulls off his wig a la Tootsie style

Howard actually wants AGT to tank and will take credit for it saying it failed because he did not discuss it on his radio show

The original appeal of these shows to the networks was they were cheap to produce and generated high profit margins as a result. AGT now has lower ratings than it did when it paid Hasselhoff, Brandy and Springer next to nothing. I'm sure Howard's high payday has inflated the amounts the others are receiving meaning the expenses have now eaten considerably into the profits, even lower ratings may bring it to the cancellation point. It would be so well deserved if Howard was "America's Judge" for the first cancellation of one of these retarded "talent" shows.

This is at least 51% true.

I just hope he traces this line of "thinking" all the way back to the source.

His silence around AGT was a punishment to all the complainers. And Judd Apatow.

So he basically "sabotaged" AGT to..................................teach the complainers and Judd Apatow a lesson?!?

    He showed them!

And how is any prospective employer supposed to view this?

If only logic were silly putty, he'd be all set.

But in the most retarded of ways it's almost smart; he's preemptively spinning the show's failure to try to create a victory for himself.

"You see what happens when I don't promote a show, Robin?"

Meanwhile, it's his presence on the show that's destroying it!

    But still, it's almost smart.

    Almost.

And not regular-smart, but "desperate retard"-smart.

The cost of Howard also includes moving the show, as well as Heidi's salary. They only hired her to park her next to him to try to offset his hideousness.

Even if the show rebounds and is a smashing success he'll be getting shit-canned after this season, because it will have succeeded in spite of him, not because of him.

USA Today headline today talks about the sagging ratings of American Idol. As Howard has mentioned, the market is bloated with these types of talent shows. The ratings for AGT will, without question, be lower than last year.

On a serious note, I think that the ratings will be up since they have new judges, then will immediately drop by the next episode...

Other than repeats, do we know who AGT is competing against this summer?

Last year the only first run shows were Gordon Ramsey's shows Hells Kitchen and Master Chef. They started out considerably behind AGT in the 18-49 ratings but by the end of the summer had caught up to it and at times passed it.
