While they were on the topic of maybe-gay dudes, Howard pressed John (Varvatos) for his opinion on Ralph (Cirella). John laughed that there were two Ralphs: “I can’t figure Ralph out. … I really enjoy the Ralph I met. The Ralph on the air is a more varied Ralph.” Ralph called in to refuse comment (“I’m not going to defend my sexuality.”), so Howard begged him to be honest: “I want you to live an authentic life.”
