Gavin Newson literally poured gasoline over the entire room, lit a match and threw it on the floor, and then tried to put it out with a flamethrower. He specifically mentioned race without being prompted whatsoever. Then when Adam asks him plainly "why did you mention race?" he tried to backpedal and Adam refuses to let him change the subject.

It just shows you how sheltered these politicians are in the media. Gavin Newsom is white, tall, rich, and good looking. He's a 'media darling'. I think he's been on Real Time with Bill Maher at least five times in the last two years. And he was just on Kimmel. Guess how many times those guys asked him a difficult question? Zero.
