Why does Howard hate the Block Party so much?

I went to the block party show a short time back, in Atlantic City, it was pretty bad but by far Shuli was the weakest performer of the night.

He's a hack for sure, but I do share his fascination with certain wackpackers like ETM and Jeff...plus the obscure ones like Underdog Lady. I just never get to hear it bcs I don't listen to ad breaks, in which they throw in a H101 news flash or whatever it's called.

Howard can't stand not being the center of attention. He also hates it when anyone who was once associated with the show goes on to have any level of success. Case in point Stuttering John and Billy West. One of the reasons all of the shows on 101 are all crap is because Howard doesn't want the possibility of someone out shining him. Bubba came close and was shut out.
He's criticized John Hein's foray into television as well as anything Baba Booey might do outside of the show.
Let's face it...Howard is a fucked up narcissist.

But too much of a pussy to criticize that nut case Robin's book and attempted tv deal, etc. He's always lite on Queen Robin.

I think in a weird way he feels used (just as with Stuttering John). Other people gaining some success from his name kills him. A normal person would be happy that his co-workers/friends are making some extra money and doing better but not Howard. I think he needs to up his days in therapy.

The really sick thing is that he uses the opposite logic to justify the low wages he pays the rest of the staff. It's supposed to be "worth it" to work for next to nothing (and make him rich) because you'll get to promote your own gigs outside the show. Howard uses whatever angle suits him at any given moment.

Is it because Shuli put it together? I've noticed he hasn't been sitting in the studio lately.

It's just a bit to promote the block party that Howard gets marbles from.
