I'll bet that the accusations that some of these prank calls are completely staged are true - it would be much easier to air a scripted prank call than get permission to air a real one. There was a letter circulating on here that basically admitted that Tradio was in on the gag and they asked the HSS to stop calling in so much or something. Must be hard when you have to keep getting water from the same well forever.

Richard's a good guy,so is Sal for that matter.
However I was disillusioned when I heard the raw footage from the TV broadcasts of those chess shows and you could hear just how unspontaneous
and pieced together their work is.
