I saw it and didn't enjoy it too much. Mila Kunis was way out of her league acting wise to pull off her role. I absolutely hated the China Doll character. I wanted to smash it. The fact that much of the movie was CGI stood out. James Franco, who I usually like, looked out of place.

It was OK...would have been better if it focused on the 3 witches instead of The Wizard of Oz actually. James Franco was terrible in it.

On topic: my daughter wants to see this movie, but after reading and hearing all the reviews, I just may wait till it comes out on cable... I heard a critic talk about the underlying sexual line of the Wizard - that the main goal is he wants to screw all 3 of the witches - why would they F with the Oz story like that??
Plus, I can't stand James Franco OR Michelle Williams....duds.

Honestly that guy must have a pact with Satan. Worst most wooden actor ever and yet he gets great parts...he was the turd in that punch bowl. Anyone with a smidgen of charisma makes the movie decent. That guy sucks bad.

Saw this movie last night after the gf begged and pleaded. I was pleasantly suprised, that happens when you go into things with a low expectation. The casting/acting was pretty horrible as far as Mila Kunis as the wicked witch and James Franco as the Wizard. I thought Michelle Williams did a pretty good job and wasn't bad to look at either. What really stole the show was the cg characters...the monkey servant and china doll girl. If you are a fan of the original i think you should see this just out of curiosity..the premise was good but I think casting held this movie back.
