I disagree. Right wing media covered the criticism of Carson far more than he was actually criticized. It is a right wing trick to make you think liberals are way more outraged than they are. I'm gonna guess that Dr. Gosnell cancelled any speaking engagements/charity events he had after his story brake too.
Shit Bill Maher got his show cancelled after his comments in 2001, and other liberals have faced the same or worse consequences than Dr. Carson when they gave an opinion not looked on favorably by the media. That's how it is today, not saying I like it, but if you don't know what will or won't get you in trouble, that is on you.

I'm not sure what the issue is with conservatives, are they mad that they can't openly hate gays anymore, and then cry when they try to spin their opinion about the matter.

What I read indicated a drunken, post-argument ( wife or gf???? ) suicide. Clearly, we need stricter argument-control laws....

Personally I wouldn't worry about any serious gun control on a federal level, the Toomey-Manchin compromise bill will pass the senate and probably fail in the house. Even if they pass universal background checks, my feeling is that the govt knows about any gun you've purchased since the patriot act was passed if you did have a background check. Some states have passed more gun laws, but since you are in texas, I don't see that happening either.

When people of any political leaning say something that the media doesn't approve of they pay a price Carson was a "victim" of this as have been many conservatives and liberals.
