Mack,or others with a opinion, currently looking for a new work van.

How is the 2013 E350? I currently drive a 2002 E350 and have never had a major issue. She has approx 275,000 on it and it is just time to move on. Still runs great but things are starting to go bad. Sliding door, some minor electrical etc... I know transmissions have been a issue but this one is still original.

We also have a few GMC Savanas, but from the first week there have been some issues. The Ford just seems to drive better. IDK.

Any info is greatly appreciated. TIA.

i'd go with a 1976 ford econoline, two tone brown/tan, with brown/tan checkered interior.
you just don't turn it off.

That sounds like it would be a sweet around town car.

I have seen those around, but they are mini van size. Will they be making a full size?

Just seen some pics of a full size in Europe, I guess 2014 they will be here. Hmmm

You don't need him to be here to tell you to buy a Ford. You think he'd recommend something else?

yeah the transit connect is the smaller one and the transit is the full size one. im sure they will drive a lot better than the current e series and get better mileage, but who knows if they will be as reliable.

With gas here at $4.20 and going up mileage is a factor. We can get the E350 out the door for $33g, I wonder if I should wait to price the Transit. Or wait for the Transit to come out then try to get a lower price on the E350. Thanks Crazy Marcus

You might even want to wait a few months, Ford is dropping the E-series vans and switching to the "new" Transit van.

I'd bet there will be a ton of Econoline vans on the secondary market really soon.

A lot of leasing companies will liquidate their current fleet to "upgrade" I'd jump on a newer Econoline when they do.

If you need size, there's always the Freightliner/ Mercedes van. Quite a bit larger than an E350, not sure on the price, though.
