THere was one Native American tribe, I can't think of the name, but their idea of fighting was called "Counting Coup" or something that sounded like that. They would ride at their enemy on horseback with a stick, and if they touched them with the stick, they considered that opponent shamed and thus beaten. That didn't work out too well for them....
