I just finished my first full work week on the new job

The people are cool and I got a pretty nice place. I got a nice, big desk at the window with a fast computer with two screens. I can see myself doing this job without getting depressed about it. I like the stuff I'm doing, actually. There are plenty of opportunities, too. They got offices in the States as well, so eventually my dream might come true and I'll move there.

I'd still rather be a rock star, though. Or something else that's cool and exciting.

Nice weather is a plus but you still have to drag your sorry ass to work every day and look at it through a window, if you're lucky. After that what do you have? No friends or family there. You'll get lonely and tired of the heat and move back. So don't waste your time.

Because I'm in a dead-end, downsizing industry with little chance to move out of my current position. I am sick and tired of living in Boston, and I'll be pension-eligible when I turn 50, so I'll be able to settle up my debts, move to some small town and work at a supermarket or Quickee Mart for gas and grocery money.
