you just don't turn it off.
glad i kept scrolling
It was. I find midday I'm actually thinking about how good it will taste tmw. the raspberries are awesome with the honey yogurt. I like the texture of the chia too - like the tiniest bubble tea
the greek yogurt effect didn't work yesterday, today a little better. that's the only part I wasn't happy about because I sit most of the day.
a friend is staying over on Monday night and I already promised her the best breakfast ever on Tuesday she can grab from the fridge and go - it is awesome.
TY![]()
omg omg omg!i'm so happy that you love it! i get a ton of shit for eating porridge, but i swear to christ that it is so delicious that no one would ever expect it to be 100% nutritious and healthy. let me know if you experiment any more and find a good combo. i'm going to try raspberries with greek yogurt and honey next. i have some raspberries in my fridge right now.
you just don't turn it off.
the yogurt is the honey flavour one. the reg yogurt with you adding real honey is not quite as good on it's own but with this I bet it is!!
I grew up in ireland eating porridge every morning and used to have it during winter over here till it just killed my tummy. I'm waiting this out to hope that goes away because I swear to got this is like having a super rich yummy desert for breakfast. It's amazing.
I think my friend will get addicted![]()
oh and i halved the raspberries so by the time you stir well they get even more broken up and super distributed.
Hey, dink, you think you could send that recipe my way, hombre?![]()
Preservation through destruction.
no problemo homey!
in a half-pint mason jar, add the following ingredients (in that order):
1/4 cup rolled oats (not fast cook or instant)
1/3 cup skim milk or almond/soy milk
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
2-3 tsp chia seeds
sweetener (i use 1 packet stevia in the raw and 1 tsp of maple syrup)
fresh fruit (blueberries and/or raspberries taste great)
put in a half pint mason jar, put on lid, shake. open, add blueberries to top and reseal. put in fridge and eat in the morning.
Chia seeds:
- have more Omega 3 fatty acids than flax seed (important for heart health)
- are the richest non-marine whole food source of Omega-3 (better than salmon)
- absorb 10 times their weight in water and transform into a gel-like substance--great for athletes for maintaining hydration and helps with weight loss by making you feel full longer
- are as high in protein as quinoa
- are loaded with calcium, potassium, Vitamin B, and anti-oxidants
- help balance blood sugar via the gelling action of the seed and it’s unique combination of soluble and insoluble fiber that slow down your body’s conversion of starches into sugars
- have a neutral taste so they will take on the other flavors in a recipe
- can be eaten whole (unlike flax seed); they don't have to be ground before adding them to food in order to digest them and benefit from their nutrients
- have a two year shelf life, stored at room temperature (flax seeds quickly become rancid and loose their nutritional value)
you just don't turn it off.
Thank you, good sir. I'm gonna give it a try in the near future.![]()

Oh, do you heat it up, or is it good cold?
Preservation through destruction.
I can't stomach the taste of plain regular yogurt either.
I usually go with:
1/3 raspberries
1/3 plain yogurt
1/3 strawberry flax seed granolla
veeb I can stomach plain greek yogurt but don't love it. I use astro brand honey flavour greek yogurt a lot of the time, a million times better.
I used it in this and it was awesome.
I will try it next week with plain to see how much of a difference the honey flavour kind makes, maybe the maple syrup is enough.
