Were the last day of auditions for AGT in New Orleans cancelled?

Also strange that they would choose to tape Mon-Wed (show days!), when it would be a lot easier to find people on a weekend.


Whatever delusions anyone still has about Howard and his level of fame/influence, this is the reality. Barely able to draw ~8000 live bodies to come watch a free talent show on NBC.

I posted that. And for a quick update, they were still sending out desperate emails as of last night for today's tapings. Also said in the emails that even if you show up A HALF HOUR LATE you are still guaranteed seats , that there are still tickets available, all tickets have a guaranteed seat, etc.

I might go to one of the tapings today if I don't get called in to work. Will update if it's a total shit show or if I get a good glimpse of the wig in action.

Sounds like they cancelled it due to lack of interest well before the storm was forecast. I'm sure Wiggy will use the weather as an excuse or find some other way to spin it.

They canceled it so Howard could rush back to NY so he can come up with excuses why he will turn down the 12:30 late night job that he has never and will never be offered.

He will probably work Monday, maybe Tuesday.

He keeps saying that despite the fact that guests on his show laugh in his face when he mentions it and the critic he always quotes and agrees with (Bob Lefetz) says AGT is horrible and Howard made a mistake by doing it.

I'll play Devil's advocate. Maybe, they didn't get enough people who wanted to audition and they didn't need a 3rd day? They could always fake the crowd shots to make it look like Thunderdome if they had to.
