If you run Dawg's on Firefox (windows)

Don't upgrade your adobe flash plug in to 11.3, it will constantly crash and freeze the saloon

Does anyone know why this happens? Is it Flash itself or is it poorly-made flash files? I know Mozilla (firefox and those bitches over at Apple) have been screaming about this for years now.

Firefox has been reporting for a couple of years that the #1 reason their browser crashes is Flash.

So is it the program (in 95% of all user's machines) or is the person who makes the file and fucks it up, somehow?

The correction was to uninstall flash and download a older version. Which it says is also vulnerable. Adobe doesn't get along professionally with anyone, I know that.

It was around a year ago the FF crashed on my Win7 and XP comps about 20 times a day. Recently, pages on some sites take forever to load like Amazon, then they do a FF update and everything goes back to normal.

I know they don't but what I'm wondering is if the crashes occur because of something inherent in Flash or because of the way people create files IN flash, capisce?

    You not know? OK.

11.3? The latest version is 11.6.602.171.

I had flash running for firefox on windows 7 just fine when I upgrade to windows 8 it upgraded and it created all these stupid ime folders in my user profile. it was fucking annoying and just removed flash from firefox for now. hoping more sites switch to html5 embedding. most youtube videos work and some other sites. Firefox 20 will add mp4 support so that will add a lot more

For work I have to keep flash up to date in FF. Should I just visit Dawgs in IE?

30 minutes ago I switched and haven't had a single freeze since on here. So something was off.

is this why the "stripper" fail thread wouldn't completely load for me? kept having to refresh, all the clips would only partially load.

Flash is garbage; there are known serious bugs in it which reliably cause it to crash. Same bugs have been in it for 4+ years but Adobe doesn't believe its worth their time to fix it.

I've noticed when a page has a lot of Youtube videos (loaded Flash flv files), my browser sometimes crashes.

If google could lower the memory usage it would be damn near perfect, unless you're worried about the feds snooping of course.
The above statement is being made of my own free will. This site neither condones nor agrees to anything I post but for my right to post what I feel.
