If you take stern for what he is. A phony, narsisstic, delusional, elitist, closeted homo, with a gold digging wife that is good for a chuckle now and then you're alot better off. Take him for what he is. He is like most celebrities they are sell outs. Why would he be any better?

Can you imagine Howard trying to do a monologue on a TV show? That would be the funniest thing he's done in years but for all the wrong reasons. His timing and delivery are horrible and amateurish on the ghost-written one liners he tries to crowbar into his radio show, it would be hilarious to watch him stumble and squirm in front of a live audience.

Stern would be worse than Chevy Chase when FOX gave him a talk show 30 years ago

They need to offer, and he needs to accept simply for that reason.

Because a lot of people bought into the 'fact' that he was better. And they got ripped off because he is the phoniest, most delusional, blah blah blah of them all.

He is just following orders set forth by Team Buckwald. I am sure Jon got a list of talking points to follow.

That would be some unintentional comedy gold - Howard could re-create the Magic Hour in 2013. Howard and Don have definitely gotten a lot of mileage out of this planted story in the NY Post.

I think we all know the answer to THAT. Isn't late night TV supposed to be a little edgy? If so, why are they going with Howard? My parents are edgier than he is.
The AGT Pussified Howard and he'll have Beth on the show, too. Lord help us all.

the amazing thing is that he's been a broadcaster since the 80's, yet he is one of the most awkward men in entertainment. he is hideous which means he cannot make it on TV. i'm not saying that leno or letterman are adonis's but there's something very disturbing and unhealthy looking about howard. the stuff of nightmares especially so close to bedtime.
