No possible way that is happening, that would require actual work. Only Sirius is stupid enough to let him phone it in for 119 shows a year.

But, the wig doesn't care, he sold out years ago. This is just one more notch on the belt of an egotistical, narcissistic asshole and one more attempt to get all the marbles.
On the one hand, I can't imagine an NBC exec signing off on this idea. (The guy who runs NBC Entertainment is a gay dude who's hip. Not Howard's type -- or maybe he is.).

On the other hand, it was announced today that Fox's new sports network was giving Regis Philbin, age 81, his own daily talk show.

    A late-night hosting job requires....

    1) to be at work at least 7-8 hours before the show.

    2) at least 2 hours after the show.

    3) 1 hour for the show.

    4) 5 days a week. none of this 4-day a week bullshit.

There's some awesome ironic fuckery in this article.

112 employee Stasi writes: "I never figured it was really about that for Stern — it was about creating a Howard that was palatable for TV."

Then right under that line is this pic:

    Yes. "Palatable".

Then they get Beefus to chime in with this beaut: "People are now seeing him for who he really is.”

    They sure are!

They tape at 5 pm, sometimes 3 or 4 pm.

But seriously. What's going on here?

Howard ought to know he's retirement age and too old to do a late-night show.

Is this along the lines of the plastic surgery deal? He wants to feel young again.

Not to mention NBC signed Howard for the AGT gig.

But even network suit-moronity has its limits, right?

I could actually see them giving it to a chick, trying to "shake things up".

He would rather die than disappear. He acts like a monastic hermit, but he's only that after he gets his injection of power, fame, and marbles.

He would completely bug-ass out if he was ever without an audience, a bully pulpit, a marble-dispenser, and the perks of being famous.

Now on top of all this factor in what's waiting for him when he retires: 24/7 Beefus.

Beth Ostrosky Stern, told The Post’s Sean Daly that, “We were in a hotel and all these little kids recognize him now as the judge from ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Usually it’s their dads. But now it is screaming little kids. People are now seeing him for who he really is.”
You're a fake wearer sucker whose gold got busted.Cheaper than a hot dog with no mustard. You tried to steal my fresh and you got cold busted.Because your crew's all soft and I'm disgusted.

As absurd as it sounds, I think she may be right. 90's Stern was the fake, bullshit guy. This was the real Howard all along, now we can lay back and be pissed on as he blows my lifetime subscription money.

She sounds like a retard on her twitter feed. Some of the most pompous, arrogant nonsense I've ever read. She seems like the female version of Mark Harris.
