    Many years ago my dog swallowed a metallic knob off my entertainment center and almost died.

    Several weeks before this happened I noticed a knob was missing and for the life I me I couldn't figure out what happened to it. Then one day my dog had an almost immediate loss of appetite and was pooping blood. I took her to the emergency vet. After $2K and several blood transfusions they had no idea what was wrong with her. Finally they decided to do an x-ray and sure as shit there was the oblong knob that had been missing. She must have been gnawing on it and chewed it off.

    Anyway, they cut the poor thing's stomach open and removed it. She immediately showed signs of improvement and within a few weeks she was back to new. Crazy ass dog gave us a scare! Glad yours is OK.
