    I am going to be offered something of a promotion, which would move me from Colorful Colorado to Charlotte, NC.

    Has anyone been there, and can anyone tell me what is worthwhile about it, before I immediately reject the offer?

    Probably because the cost of living in the northeast is obscene. I know of at least three people who have relocated to North Carolina, specifically because of the cost of living up here.

    Colorado is awesome but so is Asheville. Charlotte is a completely different vibe than A'ville. Charlotte is cool because you can be either in the mountains or at the beach within a few hours...best of both worlds, IMHO
