    Lauren Silberman tyrout for NFL.

She Claims she was hurt. If that was the case she shouldn't have kicked. I don't think she is gonna get picked up by any teams. I also don't know if there has been any threads about this. So If its a repeat...sorry.

She made two kicks of less than 15 yards each. Besides, how was she going to make it in the NFL? Could she handle tackling the receiver if he runs it all the way back?

I want to see her try to open field tackle a 250 man.

    Anyone see this?

It's funny because girls grow faster than boys so between 6 & ~13-14 (until their growth spurt starts), most girls are taller than their male counterparts. That's when they actually have an advantage on the field.

I think she's a soccer player so odds are, she can probably regularly really deliver a whale-of-a-kick.

And I doubt she would've made it to tryouts if her average kick was only 15 yards. I heard she's also dealing with a quad injury.

thats pretty much how women stack up in many areas when they for some damn reason try to be men, including the military. Women have many strengths- being men isnt one of them. And yes, I know there are rare exceptions-that doesn't change anything.

    I have to correct this.

Turns out anyone could try out, so long as they paid the $35 registration fee.

Maybe you ought to clue in The Encyclopedia Britannica of your research.

The typical girl is slightly shorter than the typical boy at all ages until adolescence. She becomes taller shortly after age 11 because her adolescent spurt takes place two years earlier than the boy’s.

Ooops. it's not as early as 6, but your info is contradicted by U.S. National Institutes of Health:

The growth spurt of weight occurred from 12.0 to 15.9 years in boys with peak weight velocity (PWV) at 14.5 years, while girls had a growth spurt at 10.0-12.7 years with PWV at 11.5 years. "Girls entered into the growth spurt about 2 years earlier," which was my point.

Thanks for, one again, missing it.

Which contradicts your earlier statement by 5 years.

My son had girls in both MA and TX on his pop Warner league teams. Coach's daughters both times but they could hit like the boys at that age.

At least it was appropriate for her to try out with the Jets, they consistently provide the NFL's comic relief.
