Initially, yes, but I've really been surprised at the level of most posters here... some bright people. Of course everything's relative, too. I'm pretty smart with stuff, and things, but completely retarded in social dynamics and "people skills". Some people are great social players but can't change a lightbulb....

Much depends on your definition of "smart". Example. Mrs. Lemmy is one of the most intelligent people I know. She's a chemical engineer with an MBA and all sorts of other rediculous credentials. Just one smart broad. Also has tons of common sense so she's not one of those "non-functional eggheads". But if you lay out something mechanical in front of her it's like a deer in the headlights. I'm the opposite.....I can fix just about anything and I'm a McGuyver (sans mullet) grade problem solver. I wouldn't last a day in her professional world though.
