I would love a Harley, but they're sofaking expensive, and a Sportster is like a minibike under my frame. A Triumph Rocket 3 would be the Überest of Übers, but again....$$$$$. If I was realistically looking at buying a bike today, I'd be looking at Triumph Thunderbird or Speedmaster or America....

Fact is, Honda makes good reliable bikes. I used to ride a Yamaha Maxim 750; awesome comfortable dependable low maintenance bike.... But rice-burners still don't have the cachet' of American or British bikes.

Great, great bikes but be ready for steady maintenance outlays (mandatory valve adjustments) or learn to do yourself.

I used to have a Shadow Spirit 1100. It was the most comfortable ride ever. The 750 is too small for me.

Too bad Honda doesn't make the VTX anymore. They were good bikes too and valve adjustment is easy on the 1300.

You should try finding one of your old bike models, both are classics.
