    Unemployment rate: 6%

    Austin

The capital of Texas has been expanding at breakneck speed since the mid-1990s and continues to grow, drawing in high-tech jobs from California and increasing employment in government, education and construction.

There are plenty of union employees in the state of Texas. The difference is it is a right to work state, making employees and employers a little more comfortable with each other.

we don't pay an emperor nanny mayor either. ours works for free, since he pays more in sales taxes than the mayoral annual salary.

of course the cost of living is cheaper: it's in the middle of nowhere.

if you could walk to any fast food restaurant and get a gigantic burger for $5.00 made of the best beef you've ever tasted you'd have a tough time keeping your weight down too. of course if the people would walk on the sidewalks instead of the underground they would sweat off the weight.
