can a car run in cold weather without a radiator fan?

snow blew up under my car (vertical wind and snow ftw) and my engine bay was full of snow.
    like packed.

so I cleared it all out and turned the car on, no problems.
except the radiator fan isn't turning.

    its cold out, about 40.
    safe to drive you think?

    shieeeet....

    for your help,
    here is perfection:

if engine temp rises, make sure heat is on full power with the fan blowing. dont sit & idle.

If the engine isn't running hot, the fan won't come on. 40 degrees doesn't seem like it's needed.

stripes said it: if the needle starts to climb, turn the heater on full blast to suck some of the heat out of the radiator water that circulates through it.

if its an electric fan. some cars still have manual fans that spin as long as the engine runs.

I checked. The Civic's is electric. Most "economy" cars are like that.

Don't take the radiator cap off while it's running. Open the overflow tank instead.
