I don't know who this McFarland character is, but I think Seth McFarlane is doing a fantastic job.

I think he is doing fine. Not his fault they wanted to turn he Oscars into Glee.

He requested all that song and dance garbage. He thinks he's Sinatra. You ever seen him sing live? He put out an album of weird music. An album more douche chilling than even Shatner's insane ramblings. Manatees.

I like Seth and think he's done a decent job. That said when it comes to his humour you either like him or you don't, it's also a generational thing younger people will like him from Family Guy but the older folks like my parents generation probably won't get his sense of humor.

Eh? Most younger people I know, 16-24, shit all over Family Guy ever since the South Park writers destroyed that show in 'Cartoon Wars'. His fans are much younger, like 10-15 years of age.

Guy can be funny and he certainly is talented. Too much song and dance though. His "shock em" style of humor generally bombed there with the stiff crowd. He's smarmy as the day is long, I'm pretty sure something will come out about him in the future that is beyond weird.

I was thinking the exact same thing about him being a smarmy asshole. You know I watch Family Guy and find it funny but whenever I see McFarland on some talk show or being interviewed, I find him to be an obnoxious smart ass. He really is into all that show tune shit...he's definitely weird and probably a deviant of some kind. I think he hangs out with Bill Maher at the Playboy Mansion. Go figure.

Fuck the "Crowd" Part of his charm was he knew that he was making them uncomfortable but he didn't care.......Thought he was a pro at presenting and entertaining......And the John Wilkes Booth joke was really funny, And his reaction to the collective groan was spot on............
    So sayeth the Snot!!!! ...........

They did barbecue Family Guy, but, honestly, those goofy cutaways were what made FG funny (to me, at least).

I heard an interview with Seth once where he acknowledged the "criticisms" of Trey and Matt and then cut back on the cutaways. He also said he was working less and less on FG (as he was concentrating on Ted, at the time).

It certainly showed. FG like THSS is a shadow of what it once was. Not fun or funny (anymore)

At least the last time I watched "Family Guy" I got a laugh................an intentional laugh...................or two out of it.

I can't say the same for "The Cleveland Show", though. It was never that good, but man does it suck now!

I found it annoying. Seth wants to sing and dance too much. Even with Family Guy, he constantly puts song numbers in. The caps, the wig, the tan... he's trying too hard.

However, I did find Ted funny as a presenter.

    He looks like Peter Brady.
