Elisa is trying to reinvent herself as a madcap comedian who also has singing and entertainment talent - kind of like Lucille Ball or Carol Burnett. She wants us to think she's Cher and Benjy is Sonny.

The poor girl has become demented since she started hanging out with Benjy. She'd do much better by ditching him, finding some nice Jewish doctor to marry, squeeze out a few puppies and move out to Long Island with the rest of them. All she's going to get by hanging out with Benjy is old.
