    Unhappy Scary music!

This thread is about music that at one time made you shit your pants or at least made the hair on your arms stand up.

My older brother bought this when I was 8 years old. I could sit for hours and listen to his records, but this one was a bit to scary for me. Only heard it when others where in the room and never on headphones

Its still a brilliant musical/concept album today. The use of old seventies synths and marimbas, heavy base and distorted guitars, with a hint of disco. All moved along by the late Sir Richard Burton's narrating.

(also very appropriate since in a few hours Mars rover is landing http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/participate/)

Tubular bells also scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Not the part 1 with the Exocist theme, but part 2. Especially the "Piltdown man" growling about 12 minutes into the song.
Today it still stands out as an amazing piece of music.

From Kubricks last movie: Eyes wide shot.
A film I find very intriguing, full of details.Scene filmed in a Rotschild mansion. They say that after Kubricks death they cut 14 min. out of it.
The chant is a Romanian Orthodox liturgy played backwards.

"Mother" by the Police is a seriously creepy song. I got the Synchronicity record and I always rushed to skip it because it gave me the creeps, its nothing like any other Police or Sting music
