No usually pull the burner out and either clean the pilot light or replace it, they seem to get clogged cause this shit is old so the flame doesn't heat the sensor enough to turn the unit on, half these units still have a mercury sensor that you can't even buy anymore
boilers should be in the basement and cooling towers on the roof IMO
Theres no boiler they are A/C/Heating unitts 1 for each apartment, I don't know shit but my boss showed me a few things and I've been able to fix 6 in the summer for A/C issues and 5 this winter for heating issues also helped replace 3 units all together with new shit
