if you didn't use the hot water all day the heater might, MIGHT, fire up once to maintain temperature. even if you insulate the recirculation and hot water distribution pipes, you still lose heat with that pump running and the water heater fires up 3 times a day. then you can put an aquastat or a timer on it to interrupt pump cycles, but c'mon, all that money for shit that you'll need to replace in 10 years? for what?
