You should hear women when they are shitting in the ladies room. First off, they release all the farts they've been holding in for the last few hours. So you hear this barrage of very loud poots then their shit always smells like coffee and...fuck if I know.

I cant poo unless I'm at home. If I gotta poo in a public restroom I flush that motherfucker repeatedly to mask any plopping sounds.

Like others said, it's the home base syndrome, and the digestive difficulties are just the side effect.

I believe it resorts back to the early days of human evolution. Settlers had a steady food source and were regular poopers, but when the food source ran out, humans were forced to travel to find another food source and the body went into a slower metabolism to conserve calories in between meals.
