Man, my mom HATED it at first, but she got all wrapped up in the Von Erichs when we moved back to Texas... She'd get so mad she'd have to walk around the block and shit. MAD MAD.

Oh god i so fondly remember that! My dad used to watch wrestling when i was a kid so i kinda grew up hearing it and just developed an interest in my young teens. Every saturday night id tune to ktvt ft worth / dallas, an independent station before it sold out and became a cbs station [ ch 39 sold out too, became some mexican crap, it was a sad sad day...]

Anyway, wccw, i remember when stone cold was just plain steve austin, balding in front, long blonde in back. The chris adams / austin feud was a thing to behold. Devestation inc was hated by everyone, id sit at home chanting " rag head rag head" along with the tv crowd in the sport a torium every time skandor akbar ran out. Percy Pringle, i remember him. Eric embry, the von erich family, a young jeff jarrett, yummeh. Billy joe travis, man what ever happened to them all. The freebirds, i loved watching wccw.

And the wwe / wcw fights, yes i watched them too, i think i was slightly more on the wcw side but i flipped back n forth to both. And before wcw was wcw it was some little georga promotion on superstation tbs, god what was it national wrestling alliance? georga championship wrestling ? something but i remember those old days in my late tween / early teen years. But i havent really been into wrestling in a few years, the hayday is long gone. Its just too stupid now mostly.

I just finished watching it. Oh man it brought back so many memories and makes me feel old [ lol im 41 ] It was strange seeing some of those wrestlers now, the way they look, the way the years and a violent career and possibly too drugs n booze has treated them. It was sad, i want to still remember them as young and energetic, loud mouth and cocky. It was a helluva show though and i wish there would be more like it about the old school feuds and the true legends before wrestling went to shit. Oh jeez, i wish i could see those 80s wrestling matches again.
