What annoys me is when you start a thread, say about a big event like a big shooting or a meteor.

And somebody will say, "Well, there's already a similar thread in the bar.

The thing people need to remember: The Bar and the Howard Stern forum are 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLACES.

They are like the Russians, we are like the Americans -- or vice versa.

It's just 2 different, totally different, cultures.

I try to go to The Bar, but it's just not my thing.

On the other hand, the thing about the off-topic threads in the Howard Stern forum is that they are stories generally about or for the Howard Stern Show worldview.

We are like mini-Howards and Robins commenting on the day's news, especially when they relate to Howard STern-kind of topics.

I like the unique perspective.
