Right or wrong, they hate the format and the point system and think it's a joke and that a real match should go on forever until there is a submission and playing for points and position means next to nothing.

I know that ed put in ALOT of time but I thought BJJ belt promotion (Especially BB) had something of a correlation to tournament performance/participation

carolla was blasting ray & few eps ago for going to carollas money mgr & asking for $100/show (weekly) back when he first started.
carolla said fine but if you wait until it takes off, you'll end up with more...ray said he did make that deal but has never received a penny. $100 a week is alot for a guy like ray & his ace on the house show/loyality etc deserves it. he's actually funny & could go on the road with carolla but carolla seems to be more attracted to bigger names & less with his old buddies...its too bad ray has quite a fan following & if they promoted him more carolla might be surprised. the end might be near tho for those two, ray ripped him pretty good during that dr drew podcast.

They've been friends for a long time and I think Carolla is an investor in Ray's contracting business so I don't think it's the end for them. I know he bankrolled one house for 100k. But who knows?

I think Ace on the House would attract more listeners and advertisers if it were more than once a week. People can drift away if they forget a show is coming on.

I listen to Adam while running and he is very funny and insightful. Anyone with kids and knowing his schedule can relate. Does he talk over guests and forward his agenda and rants..... Yep, not much different then Howard, but more relevant and interesting. Adam yes talks too much about his travel and aludes non-stop to jerking off, but never really talks sex or his relationship with his spouse. When he talks about Lynette I laugh and think how typical it is and no different then many middle age couples.

today he was talking about getting up early saturday morning, throwing on some sweats to drag his ass to his kids basketball game. he said its gotta suck being one of the hispter dads that gotta throw on the skinny jeans, tight shirts, goofy hats & scarfs just to watch their kid at the ymca on their day off. alot of people dont think that hipster douchebag commitment all the way thro.

I never wore jeans and always was in a form of sweats. His stories about Natalia & Sonny and that at their age they all think they are the best and there is no reasoning with them are bang on. His stories about his parents are a lot more honest then Howard's and the nastiness Howard heaps on his dad. He may treat them well and love them, but how he talks about them and how they screwed him up and treated him as a child is cringe worthy at times.

pileggi said he always got the credit for pescis "you think i'm funny routine" but he said thay would just give pesci a scene & he would come up with his own dialogue..
also talked about how the studio dumped the support for goodfellas in favor of the bonfire of the vanities shitty movie that bombed. carolla actually calmed down & let him speak for the most part, pretty good show considering yesterdays abortion with al bundy...still pisses me off. dick move, carolla.

I dont listen to Carolla as much since as you guys point out when he does have a good guest in all he does is fucking talk all over the guest always going into some pointless monologue of complaints and the guest is nothing more than a listener who happens to be in studio. Then there is the first 30min of so of each show which is nothing but complaining about airplane travel or something he did with his kids.

Word. I tried listening to one of his podcasts some months back and right at the top of it he launched into this incredibly long, deathly-dull, over the hills and through the woods tale about having to take his kids somewhere but forgetting to bring their lunches.

The only thing I'd add is I don't think it was just the trophy wife taunts that drove him to his "I was a MAJOR cocksman back in the day" lie, although that has to be part of it; I think it was also the fact that the trophy wife stopped fucking him, and it's dawning on him how thoroughly he was played.

I think he's basically trying to say to her: "Fine! Don't fuck me. I've had so much Goddamn sex I'm full, anyway!".
