He had more than a couple catchy songs. He was bigger than the music he made. And he had about 20 catchy songs.

Environment certainly pays a role... But depression & addiction are inherent... So, while its not a guarantee that they'd follow in her footsteps, the chances are far greater than if they were someone else's kid ....

That may be true, but I doubt it.

We can count 3 fails in the past few years... Rodney King, that guy from Soundgarden, and now this... all dead. I think there were a few others too... whatever.

The fact is that this Dr. Drew has married himself to this celebrity culture, and while he doesn't bat .1000 fixing these head cases, whatever the outcome his "treatment" provides his wallet still gets fatter.

there CAN be a genetic component to depression and/or addiction, but not always. or even most times.

It's kind of like an episode of Amos and Andy, they're doing the halftime show.

Kinda pissed she killed her dog. She was a really sick girl, compulsive liar etc. probably even a murderer. I can't make sense of what goes so wrong with people. At one time she was attractive and apparently talented, although not my kind of music.

But, that's addiction for ya.... The recidivism rate is astronomical, regardless of where the addict has been treated... You oughtta see the stats for A.A. (they're pretty discouraging) .. I think the true benefit he brings to the table is ALL the people out there watching & listening that have sought help because of what they've seen or heard from him ...These are the people you'll never, ever hear from or meet.......... But, because he puts a face to the whole recovery "process" (and explains how & why the brain behaves the way it does), the taboo is lifted just enough for people to get off their own asses & seek help themselves.... Having had an issue with alcohol myself, I can say without question that no one in show-business even comes close to understanding what the addicts-mind goes through like he does... ..You know, an Oncologist can only cure someone of cancer if they follow the protocol established for them... If they deviate from established course of treatment, and subsequently die as a result, you cant blame the Oncologist for that persons death..... They had the "tools" in place to get cured. It was their choice not to take advantage of those tools....

I've seen a millions seizures in my day and that one looked fake to me. I've never seen anyone carefully roll off the bed and onto a floor so gently and then have a seizure. And it looked like she was smiling and trying not to so she covered her head before she went into her tuck and roll. Like Wendy the Retard when she supposedly fell asleep during Hollyweird Squares.

I've been around the block myself... but look, this "doctor" Drew has sought out a niche in the least likely area of success. These "celebrity" rehab cases are B and C list stars that use their weakness for another round of perceived relevance in the public eye they searched out to begin with.

To say he doesn't prey on that is naive at best.
