Exactly. Regardless of logic, they protest to protest... so edgy and hardcore and anti-establishment. A cop could save 19 kittens from a house fire and they'd cry about how they left the 20th kitten to burn.

Interesting. So that would mean that a smartphone would not be a very good thing for him to carry. Kind of negates the cellphone theory for the media blackout.

Uh, actually when both themselves and the general public is in grave danger from a deadly threat and the perpetrator has proven to want to continue to kill, it kind of is. People who think they could have safely taken him alive clearly don't comprehend his actions, intent or ability. Sure it would be nice and fuzzy if he had been taken into custody and stood trial but he is the one who took that option off the table. I guess several more lives would be worth it?
