The first time I heard someone from L.A. say "oh, you still have your east coast fat" (and thankfully for him, it wasn't directed at me), nearly all the love I had for the sunny, beautiful weather, suddenly clouded and it was then I realized that the smog blanketing the city was not from air pollution but it was really the evaporated souls of all who lived there.
